Special Cellphone Road marking appears in Xi’an

From the beginning of June 2018, there are 3 different colours painted on the roads of Xi’an (northwest of China) the markings says “Specialized for Head Down Cellphone Users“.

The special street is located in a co-working space area for younger generations, and most of them have habit of checking their cellphone while walking. 

The whole coloured road is only 100m long, with arrows painted on top, to remind Head Down cellphone users to walk on this side of the path and avoid the exit of the parking lot. 

In the meantime, a NO CELLPHONES sign is marked on the main walk way to distinguish and separate the cellphone users and regular walkers on the street.
